Why does Ordsall need a Trust?

Broughton has got a trust - Broughton Trust.

Seedley and Langworthy has got one - SALT (Seedley and Langworthy Trust).

Why does Ordsall need one?

• to represent the interests of Ordsall to outside organisations
• to bring groups in Ordsall together and keep them informed about each other
• to apply for funding that single groups can't go for on their own
• to be a focus of interest in new developments in Ordsall, like the new school, shops and apartments
• to help preserve the best of the old, like Ordsall Hall and The Barracks
• to check out new ideas, explore possibilities and be on the look-out for helpful things
